Elias de Andrade Jr. has dedicated much of his career to educational, non-profit, and international organizations. He has supported technical and academic research for international cooperation, sustainable activities, and peaceful uses of outer space.

Elias has been an active member of Brazilian Diplomatic Delegations at the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. He has also interned at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs. His academic achievements include an M.Sc. in Space Studies from the International Space University and the Erasmus Mundus Global Studies from the University of Vienna. Elias has authored and co-authored publications related to active space debris removal and the space environment.
