Elias de Andrade Jr

Elias de Andrade Jr. has dedicated many years of his career for educational, non-profitable, and international organizations in outer space. He has supported technical and academic research for international cooperation, sustainable activities, and peaceful uses of outer space.

Prior to joining the ISC, Elias has been an active member of Brazilian Diplomatic Delegations at the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. He has also interned at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs. His vast academic achievements include the M.Sc. in Space Studies from the International Space University and the Erasmus Mundus Global Studies from the University of Vienna. Elias has authored and co-authored publications related to active space debris removal and space environment.

Elias has joined the ISC in May 2020 as Deputy Director and later as Fellow. He is responsible for editing publications on the commercial space industry, liaising with partners, and implementing ISC media strategies and engagement activities. In his role, he has been fomenting and supporting ideas that will open doors for the future of youth in commercial space exploration and businesses in North America and globally.
